A novel grinding method for the flute with the complex edge by standard wheel

The flute plays an important role in the design process for tools. complexity of cutting edge is increasing continuously. Thus, it difficult to grind precisely and efficiently. This paper presents a practical grinding method It solves issue how with complex by standard wheels. summarized as follows: curve core are used designed parameters flute; we propose fundamental conditions that wheel does not interfere parameters; can find posture position frame easily, thus obtaining trajectory. Finally, using taper end mill example, results show good agreement between CAM data model data. proves effectiveness this method.
